Read in English, listen in your language
The CSCS card test, officially the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test, is taken in English. To pass, you have to understand the English wording of every question. That is a real barrier if English is not your first language, and it is a common reason capable workers fail a test they clearly know the answers to.
Our free CSCS mock test adds an audio voiceover. You read each question in English, then tap a button to hear the question and all four answers read aloud in your own language. It is a listening aid: the English text on screen stays authoritative, exactly like test day, but the audio makes the meaning clear so you can practise with confidence.
Who the audio voiceover helps
The voiceover is built for anyone working towards a CSCS card who would rather listen than read English, including:
- Non-native English speakers preparing for the CITB HS&E test, such as Polish construction workers in the UK.
- Anyone more confident understanding a spoken question than a written one.
- Workers who want to practise the real English questions without getting stuck on the wording.
- Labourers, skilled workers, supervisors and managers across every CSCS card type.
Polish: available now, male and female voice
Polish is our first fully supported language. Every active practice question has a native Polish voiceover ready to play, in both a male and a female voice, so you can pick whichever is easier to follow. There is nothing to download and nothing to set up: choose Polish, press play, and listen as you read. For the full Polish experience and Polish-specific guidance, see our dedicated CSCS mock test in Polish page.
Try it now. Here is a real CSCS practice question. Read it in English, then press Play in Polish to hear it read aloud.
